October is National Orthodontic Month!

The American Association of Orthodontics recommends that a certified orthodontist, such as Dr. Kaufman, evaluate all children by the age of seven. While most children at this age are not ready to begin full orthodontic treatment, many young patients have traumatic bites or abnormal growth problems that can be treated much easier if diagnosed early.

Much is happening with a child’s dental development during this time, and we want children to be aware of how their current dental health will have an impact on their future, overall health and well being. Developing good oral health habits at this age will benefit their lives.
